Telstra has announced the finalists in the 2011 Telstra Northern Territory Business Awards, finding that customer service is at the forefront of business success in the state.
Although the ten finalists are from range of industries, an analysis of the finalists revealed top customer service was a significant indicator of business success across many of them.
“Improving customer service is paramount, no matter the size of a company. Training staff will encourage customer loyalty and help attract winbacks and new customers,” Telstra Business Group Managing Director and Telstra Business Awards Ambassador Deena Shiff said.
Telstra’s analysis showed six of the 10 finalists specifically trained staff to improve customer service skills over the past year.
According to Shiff, the announcement of the finalists and the results of the analysis provide an indication of the Northern Territory’s commitment to customer service.
“The best Northern Territory finalists clearly have a commitment to providing top customers service that underpins their business growth,” she said.
